Our story.
Republic Leather Company is the next chapter for a collection photographers have trusted in the field for years.
We acquired RL Handcrafts to preserve its photographer-first designs and build on the craftsmanship behind them.
Republic Leather Company continues the Rebel, Andino, Clydesdale and Derringer families, along with the sliders, straps and hardware that keep those systems working. We are also continuing repair support for existing RL Handcrafts customers.
Good leather should not be disposable. It should grow more personal with every assignment.
Our work remains rooted in California, in genuine leather, durable hardware and the belief that professional equipment should feel better—not worse—the longer the day gets.
